Baraawe Human Rights Protection is sounding the alarm over alarming reports from the Baraawe district. Community members have bravely come forward with shocking allegations against Mohamed Shaarkey, the Director of Baraawe Hospital, claiming that expired needles are being used for children’s injections.
This is not just a medical violation; it’s a grave breach of trust that endangers our most vulnerable.
Additionally, there are serious claims of fraud, corruption, and the hoarding of essential medications, which are being withheld from patients until they expire. This denial of healthcare is a serious violation of human rights.
To the Ministry of Health, Southwest State, the Federal Government of Somalia, and all local and international NGOs and donors,
We urge every citizen, organization, and authority to stay informed and support our call for accountability and justice. Visit www.baraawehr.org for updates and to find out how you can get involved. Together, we can advocate for a healthier, safer community!
Let’s make our voices heard and demand change. Your support is crucial.
